Should I Connect With Them?

To Connect or not to Connect

I like to connect with people, but I only do it when they have a substantial social media profile. A lot of them get pretty lazy about that stuff and don’t put anything up on their profiles. So if you want my connection then at least post some pictures or something!

My favorite part is the connections section because as many of you might imagine, I receive quite a few requests from LinkedIn, Facebook et cetera for connecting status updates etc., so naturally this becomes one easy way to not just sort through these types of messages while avoiding all those spam emails sent out by sites promising “the cheat codes” that never actually deliver what’s promised… Knock knock? Who ‘dat?! Anyways – As far as who gets access to

I am the gatekeeper of my connections. I will not allow any more fake accounts to send me requests for endorsement or product selling opportunities, even if they are coming from a family member who may have fallen victim to one of these scams and wants help getting their account back. To avoid being scammed in this way, it is important that you provide enough information about yourself when sending an invitation so we know whether or not your intentions are genuine and what our connection would be – before committing fully with both time and energy into connecting with someone on social media as well (I do take great care selecting people socially). What’s good manners? Common courtesy!
